Hadlow Rural Community School opened in September 2013 to create a unique learning experience for students aged 11-16 that not only prepares them for further study, but also for the world of work – particularly emerging, highly skilled careers in the land-based sector and its associated industries.

You’ll discover exciting new ways of interpreting subjects such as Maths and English delivered as part of a traditional curriculum that leads to exams, but one that fully integrates academic and vocational study with a special focus on science.

Located at the heart of Hadlow College’s 1,000-acre farmed estate, pupils benefit from choices beyond the scope of a traditional secondary school – including the more unusual outdoor sports and after-school clubs. The setting gives them an unrivalled opportunity to explore and develop their skills and interests in a safe rural environment.

Working in partnership with Hadlow College, an outstanding land-based college, staffed 365 days a year, Hadlow Rural Community School benefits from the strength of a much larger and established organisation with superb facilities and extensive education and employment networks. It also allows pupils to work alongside students who have chosen to extend their studies beyond 16 and benefit from their experience and inspiration.
